Timothee Chalamet Did Batista’s Entrance When They First Met, Loves Working With Him

Timothee Chalamet worked with Dave Bautista in Dune and he recently recalled how he did the WWE alumnus’ entrance when they first met. The Wonka and Marty Supreme star acted opposite Bautista in the two Dune films, and he spoke about his experiences with the former WWE main eventer on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About?.

Chalamet also noted that he wants to see a show in the Hammerstein Ballroom and asked Triple H about WWE doing a show there. You can see highlights below:

On Wanting to See a Show at Hammerstein:

“Man, I want to go see a show at Hammerstein. When I told — I talked to Triple H the other night. He said it’s basically impossible to make money there. He said there’s one elevator you have to load everything in and out of.”

On Meeting Bautista And Doing His Entrance:

“He couldn’t believe it. I knocked on his trailer door and I had the ‘Animal’ theme song playing. Yeah, I hadn’t met him and I was going like that [his machine gun gesture]. He was — the look on his face was priceless. He had no clue.”

On Working With Bautista:

“I love working with Dave. He’s a very serious guy, a very serious actor. The last time I saw Dave, I couldn’t locate my mom at the Oscars. I feel bad, because I hope he doesn’t think I was ‘Hollywooding’ him. Because he was saying ‘Hi’ and I literally couldn’t locate where my mother was. Anyway Dave, if you’re watching this, I don’t know if I just shot myself in the foot by saying that.

“But I love Dave, man. Batista and Rey Mysterio, that was the WWE I grew up on. Dave has one of the best entrances of all time. I miss the pyrotechnics, man, I gotta say.”
