TJ Wilson believes Brodie Lee Jr is ahead of the curve on his promos, praising the young man’s mic skills in a new interview. The son of the late Brodie Lee has stepped up his wrestling work recently, including getting on the mic at GCW Baller Blockin late last month to challenge Joey Janela to a match at the latter’s Spring Break X.
Lee has trained at Wilson and Nattie’s The Dungeon, and Wilson praised Lee’s promos in a new interview with Marston Moment. You can see highlights below, per Fightful:
On Lee Having Better Promo Skills Than He Did When He Was 28:
“He sent me something he just did on these two shows, doing a promo. I’m like, I don’t really like the fact [laughs], I love, but I don’t really like the fact that he’s better at promos at 14 than I was at 28. I got there, eventually. I’m not saying I’m The Rock, I would never say that, I’m not an idiot. They got better.”
On Lee’s Potential:
“The fact that this kid, at 14, he’s cut two really good promos. It kind of drives me crazy. In a good way. I love it. It’s awesome to see because the fact that he’s good at the promo aspect is hilarious because, especially as a kid, he’s really focused on the in-ring. He knows [promos] are very important too and he understands that aspect.”
