Fightful reports that WWE parent company TKO held a town hall meeting today (Oct. 28), with Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro addressing employees regarding events in the Middle East. Employees from WWE, UFC, Zuffa Boxing, and On Location were reportedly present for the gathering.
Mark Shapiro is said to have explained that the safety of their employees was “paramount” with the upcoming shows in the region. It’s said that the meeting took place before today’s earlier news, with the Riyadh Season account on X announcing that WWE Crown Jewel 2026 would be moving venues. As of now, it’s rumored that the event is remaining in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, PWInsider reports that the meeting was held over Zoom. PWInsider’s report says that WWE President Nick Khan spoke about up-and-coming WWE Superstars during the meeting, naming Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Sol Ruca, and Oba Femi.
WWE Crown Jewel is scheduled for Saturday, November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, TKO’s Zuffa Boxing is promoting the Canelo Alvarez vs. Christian M’billi fight for October 31 in the same city.
