TNA Announces Date & Location For TNA Lockdown

TNA has announced the date and location for this year’s TNA Lockdown, which is set to take place in August. The company announced on Thursday that the PPV will make its return for the first time in a decade and emanate from the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois on August 23rd.

As is tradition with Lockdown all the matches at the show will take place in a steel cage. This marks the first iteration Lockdown since 2016, when the show took aired on February 23rd from Wembley Arena in London.

The announcement notes that the event is TNA’s first in the arena, which previously was known as the UC Pavilion and hosted WCW Chi-Town Rumble. Confirmed for Lockdown 2026 are The Hardys, Nic Nemeth, Mustafa Ali, Moose, AJ Francis, Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, Brian Myers, Eric Young, and Leon Slater among the men and Ash By Elegance, Tessa Blanchard, Elayna Black, Indi Hartwell among the Knockouts Division.

The first TNA Lockdown took place in 2005 and it ran for 11 years before being put to rest following the Wembley show.

Matches have of course not yet been announced. TNA is coming off Rebellion, which took place last Saturday. Tickets for Lockdown 2026 go on pre-sale on April 22ng at 10 AM ET, with the general on-sale date set for two days later on April 24th at 10 AM ET.
