TNA presented its marquee event, Slammiversary, from the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.

The event saw multiple title changes, with Xia Brookside capturing the Knockouts World Championship, The Hardys regaining the World Tag Team Title in a bloody four-way Ladder Match, and Nic Nemeth dethroning Mike Santana as TNA World Champion.

Earlier today, Mike Johnson of PWInsider shared several backstage notes, including an upcoming taping schedule, internal reaction to Slammiversary 2026, an update concerning Brian James, and more.

Below are the notes:

– TNA will kick off its post-Slammiversary storylines during the upcoming iMPACT tapings. The episodes will be taped at The Broadview Center in Albany, New York, on July 1 and 2.

– The company will start building toward August’s Lockdown event in Chicago, Illinois, at the upcoming tapings. A 16-team tournament to crown the inaugural Knockouts TV Champion is set to kick off during the tapings. Newly crowned TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth will also make his first appearance.

– Backstage reaction to Slammiversary 2026 has reportedly been positive, with a few talents telling PWInsider that this was an event “the company needed.” Several talents also reportedly told a source that the entire locker room was determined to deliver a statement with their performances.

– Former WWE SmackDown co-lead writer Brian “Road Dogg” James was backstage during Slammiversary. Johnson noted that James and the TNA top brass are currently “ironing out” his deal.

-There were reportedly no further creative departures heading into Slammiversary.

-As previously noted, TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks unveiled the Knockouts TV Championship at the pre-show last night. The belt has reportedly been constructed and designed by ZBROS.
