AEW TNT Champion Tommaso Ciampa mounted his first successful title defense, as he overcame Roderick Strong and The Death Riders member Claudio Castagnoli in a three-way match on tonight’s Collision.

The finish of the match saw Roderick Strong hit Claudio Castagnoli with a knee strike, only to receive one from the defending champion, allowing Ciampa to pick up a pinfall victory.

However, the night didn’t end there for The Psycho Killer, as he was immediately confronted by former TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher. The Protostar grabbed the belt before handing it over to Tommaso Ciampa.

Fletcher then grabbed a microphone and asked Ciampa how it feels to be in All Elite Wrestling and then claimed that the latter would fill his shoes. The Dom Family member said that he intends to walk into Grand Slam: Australia next weekend as the TNT Champion. He then proposed a first-time-ever match between the two for the title for this Wednesday’s Dynamite.

In response, Ciampa held up the title and kissed Fletcher’s cheek. As he started to leave the ring, Fletcher said,

“You said you came here because this is where the best wrestle. Next Wednesday, you’ll find out what the best really looks like.”

The match has since been confirmed by AEW for this Wednesday.
