Tony Khan Says Anna Jay Extended Her AEW Contract, Is Out With Injury

Anna Jay is sticking with AEW for the foreseeable future, with Tony Khan confirming that she’s extended her deal but is currently out injured. Khan made the reveal on the media call promoting this weekend’s AEW Redemption. Jay has not appeared since she and Tay Melo challenged the Divine Dominion for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships on the June 6th episode of Collision.

“Anna is in very good standing with us,” Khan said on the call (per Fightful). “Anna is out injured right now. I was hoping to book her in recent weeks and she has an injury.”

He continued, “Last week, she was going for an MRI. She is in good standing and has a lot of time left, she’s extended her contract with AEW. She is going to be staying in AEW.”

Khan did not give a timeline for when Jay may return to the ring. She has been signed to AEW since December of 2020.
