Tony Khan Provides Update on Persephone & Sareee Competing in the Women’s Owen Hart Tournament

During today’s media call for ROH Supercard of Honor 2026, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan (via Fightful) had an update on the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. AEW announced the brackets for the women’s tournament and the first matchups on last night’s AEW Dynamite.

The tournament brackets included Persephoone and Sareee, which was interesting, as Khan announced earlier this month that Persephone was out indefinitely and would not be competing at Supercard of Honor as a result. Also, Sareee announced that she was taking a month off from wrestling to recover from a neck injury.

Speaking during today’s media call, Khan said that both Persephone and Sareee are expected to wrestle in the tournament, and he indicated that their tournament bouts would take place later next month. The first round matchups will feature the following:

* Persephone vs. Hazuki
* Willow Nightingale vs. Alex Windsor
* Mina Shirakawa vs. Athena
* Skye Blue vs. Sareee

Alex Windssor vs. Willow Nightingale is scheduled for later this month at AEW Double or Nothing 2026. The event will take place on Sunday, May 24.
