Tony Schiavone Recalls Tony Khan Running From Teddy Hart During First Meeting

On Teddy Hart:

“So Teddy Hart, I worked with him in MLW. And he was pretty cool to work with. And I never will forget the response he got from the fans when he would come out. And of course now, we worked in, so the crowd wasn’t gigantic. But all those kids there knew who Teddy Hart was. And I guess this is based on his body of work.

“And he came backstage the first year of AEW, and wanted to meet Tony Khan. And Tony told him, ‘I can’t, because you got a cat with you.’ And Tony is terribly allergic to cats. And Teddy had the cat with him and had cat hair all over him. Tony [looks at] ‘Teddy. I’m sorry.’ And he ran from Teddy because of the cat here. So, where they went from there, I don’t know. But Teddy always had that white cat with him in MLW.”

On Bryan Danielson:

“Yeah, he’s doing a great job. He and I talk about his commentary a lot. He’s asked me a lot of questions, and I just love having a conversation with Bryan. And I’ve tried to help him out… Yeah absolutely. I think he’s doing a great job on Dynamite.”
