The trial for Liv Morgan’s alleged stalker has been officially moved to next year. As reported, Shawn Chen was arrested in Florida in June after being accused of stalking Liv Morgan. Chen is still incarcerated despite requests to be released as he awaits trial on a charge of interstate stalking.

It was reported late last month that an unopposed motion was filed on Friday asking that the trial be pushed back two months. PWInsider reports that the US Court for the Middle District Of Florida issued the continuance on October 31st. The court originally scheduled the trial for November.

The order notes that the request was filed by Chan. The case has been moved to the January 2026 trial term. That term starts on January 5th. A more specific date will be announced later.

The order also noted that a joint status report must be filed on or before the 15th day of each month.

Chan was arrested and charged with interstate domestic violence after he allegedly traveled from Canada to Orlando, Florida. He claimed to customs agents in Florida that he would be staying to the WWE Performance Center. Instead, he went to Morgan’s home on May 31st and attempted to gain entry. He was arrested at an NXT taping after WWE security recognized him and alerted authorities.

Chan faces up to five years imprisonment.
