Trick Williams Joins WWE Smackdown Roster, Confronts Sami Zayn

Trick Williams has joined the main roster, making his debut as a WWE Smackdown star on tonight’s show. The former NXT Champion came out to the ring on Friday’s show to interrupt a promo by Sami Zayn.
Zayn was talking about how he’s yet to win the WWE Championship and will do so in 2026. Williams came out and cut a promo saying that he has arrived. He said Nick Aldis wanted him on Smackdown because the brand needed him, and that he will become a world champion without needing 20 years to do it.
Zayn said Williams isn’t wrong and praised the new roster member’s talent, but said he has yet to be humbled. Zayn noted that he would be happy to do so.
Williams was declared as a free agent on last week’s WWE Smackdown. You can see highlights from tonight’s segment below.
It was announced later in the show that Williams will make his in-ring Smackdown debut next week against Rey Fenix.
