Update on Free Agency Of Samantha Irvin, Interest From AEW

Samantha Irvin is set to be a free agent soon, and a new report has an update on the possibility that she will go to AEW. Fightful Select reports that the former WWE ring announcer is finally approaching the end of non-complete clause, which was a condition of her leaving the company early.

The site also confirms that, fitting with speculation since she exited WWE, there has been discussion in AEW about potentially bringing Irvin on board. However, the site also notes that it has been “made clear” that it wouldn’t happen as soon as she isa free agent. Any appearance would likely be sometime down the road. Irvin, whose husband Ricochet is part of AEW, has previously said that ring announcing was not her goal, but that she was not done with wrestling.

Irvin, real name Samantha Johnson, has been backstage at many AEW events over the last two years is said to have a “great relationship” with the promotion.
