A new report has a bit of an update (or lack thereof) surrounding Jeff Jarrett and RJ City’s AEW contracts. There has been some question among fans around the deals of the two, as Jarrett hasn’t been on TV for some time and City teased a possible return to the ring earlier this month, having written on social media that he “[has] plenty of gas left in the tank” regarding wrestling.
Fightful Select reports that there has been no word of any change in either man’s deal. Jarrett is still on a talent contract with AEW, while City is still part of the creative team.
In related Jarrett news, there was some speculation that Jarrett had something to do with the deal with AEW to hold Brawl In the Ballpark with the Minnesota Twins in July. Jarrett has a history with baseball and is a co-owner of the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes minor league team. However, the site notes that he was not involved in the deal.
