The feed cut to black before the moment of impact, with social media video later showing a bandaged Wagner being taken away by EMTs. Haus of Wrestling reports that while there have been rumors that the spot resulted in an actual injury, this is not the case.

A report from Bodyslam.net had been circulating that the spot didn’t go as planned, resulting in the steps actually hitting the skull of Von Wagner. That report suggested that there was “chaos” both around the ring and backstage.

However, multiple WWE sources indicated that the spot went as planned and Von Wagner is “totally fine.”
