Update on When Sheamus Will Become an Unrestricted Free Agent

As previously reported, former WWE World Champion Sheamus refused an offer to restructure his WWE contract, and as a result, he’s leaving WWE at the end of his current deal. However, Sheamus is still not yet a completely unrestricted free agent. Fightful Select has an update on when Sheamus will be free and clear to wrestle elsewhere.
According to the latest update, Sheamus is still under contract with WWE, despite his being moved to the alumni section of WWE’s website. Currently, the wrestler is slated to become a free agent as of October 1. So, it appears that he still has about two and a half months to go on his current contract.
The circumstances around October 1 being the date when he enters free agency are unknown, but it appears that it matches up with Sheamuss having a 90-day notice of termination period after he rejected the restructured deal.
As noted, Sheamus is expected to draw interest from other promotions inside the US and internationally as well, once his free agency status begins.
