As previously reported, the WWE Netflix docuseries, WWE: Unreal, was renewed for a second season, with word surfacing that filming had already begun for the next season in September. BodySlam+ has an update on what’s on tap for the next season.
According to the report, multiple WWE Superstars will soon be conducting interviews for WWE: Unreal Season 2, including R-Truth, Iyo Sky, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Lyra Valkyria, and Penta. With the variety of surprising things that have taken place over the last eight months, WWE and Netflix have already reportedly filmed “plenty of content” for the next season.
With the aforementioned interview subjects, it would be reasonable to expect that what happened with R-Truth’s contract expiration and initial exit from WWE earlier this year will be covered in Season 2. Additionally, Season 2 will also likely showcase Seth Rollins’ feigning an injury only to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase against CM Punk at SummerSlam 2025.
Initially, it appeared R-Truth was leaving WWE after the promotion opted not to renew his latest contract when it expired. However, the Superstar soon made a shocking return at WWE Money in the Bank 2025.
WWE: Unreal Season 2 will debut on Netflix later on. The next season does not yet have an official release date. The first season, consisting of five episodes, is available now on the streamer.
