Updated Card For WrestleMania 42 Following WWE Smackdown

WWE has an updated card for WrestleMania 42 following this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown. As noted, Sami Zayn is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion following his win over Carmelo Hayes, and will defend his title against Trick Williams at the two-night PLE.

In addition, Nick Aldis announced on the show that Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu will battle in an Unsanctioned Match. The bout was announced in a segment where the two went back and forth as McIntyre stood on the stage and Fatu was in the ring. Before they could go at each other, Nick Aldis came down and said both men would be healed from last week’s big fall off an elevated platform by WrestleMania. He booked then in an Unsanctioned Match, saying WWE would not be liable for what they did to each other.

We still do not yet have official confirmation on which matches will take place on which show, though WWE has listed the Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton Undisputed WWE Title match for night one and the CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns World Heavyweight Title on night two on the ticket pages. WWE has not officially announced those nights for the matches as of this writing.

You can see the updated lineup below for the show. WrestleMania 42 is set to take place on April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and Netflix internationally.
