Latest On Vince McMahon Biopic Movie & If Bradley Cooper Will Play Vince McMahon
PWInsider reports that Bradley Cooper is waiting to see an updated version of the Pandemonium screenplay before deciding whether to accept the lead role of Vince McMahon for the film. The movie will be about McMahon’s life story.
The updated screenplay has been finished and turned into Tristar Pictures, the studio behind the film, and if they are happy with it, they will then pass it on to Cooper. The original script was written by Craig A. Williams (writer of Disney’s Underdog) but went through several drafts after WWE Studios got involved and the McMahon family made clear which aspects they wanted removed.
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (directors of the pilot episode of This Is Us, as well as Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot) are currently attached to direct the film. Head of WWE Studios Michael Luisi and Aperture Entertainment’s Adam Goldworn are producing, with Zaftig Films’ Charlie Gogolak serving as Executive Producer.
The movie is currently slated to begin filming in Spring of 2018, subject to a final script and cast being agreed on.
