Independent favorite Warhorse is out of action, having suffered a broken leg over the weekend. The independent star suffered the injury in his match with Kody Lane at Glory Pro Lost In The Lou for the Crown of Glory Championship on Saturday.

The news was revealed through a GoFundMe that was set up. The campaign, launched by Jacob Bosche, noted the following:

Jake Parnell, also known as WARHORSE, has spent many years bringing friendship, guidance and entertainment to the greater St. Louis area as well as to many across the entire world. He has had many memorable moments in the ring and had just planned to bring back the energy that had the internet begging for him to wrestle on TV. This isn’t a brag about our friend but a testament to the joy he has given so many. Whether it was head banging at the Mall of America, screaming at passing cars in the middle of a corn field, or just interacting with people on Twitter (IN ALL CAPS OF COURSE). He always made sure to give every performance the exact same level of energy and care. He’s become a pivotal role in the next generation of indie wrestlers and never hesitates to give everything he can to help other wrestlers.

But unfortunately this weekend he suffered a freak injury while wrestling in his hometown of St. Louis. Jake broke his fibula completely through and won’t be able to wrestle for some time. Medical bills are expensive and that’s the risk wrestlers take trying to do what they love. The road to recovery won’t be cheap, but I ask that we make it as easy as possible for the man that gave all of us so much for so long.

So if WARHORSE or Jake has brought you anything of value over the years, please consider helping him out during this unfortunate situation. Thank you.

Warhorse is a prolific performer with over 50 matches a year for the last few years. He has appeared on MLW TV and is perhaps best known for his match with Cody Rhodes on AEW Dynamite in 2020.

The campaign has raised $4,402 out of the $5,000 goal as of this writing. On behalf of 411, our best wishes to WarHorse for a quick and full recovery.
