Will Ospreay Expresses Interest in Seeing Dakota Kai in AEW Amid Her In-Ring Return

Former AEW International Champion Will Ospreay has expressed his interest in seeing Charlie, aka Dakota Kai, in All Elite Wrestling. Kai returned to in-ring competition after nearly a year at last night’s Pro-Wrestling: EVE’s Wrestle Queendom VIII event. Now wrestling under the ring name Charlie, the Auckland-born performer unsuccessfully challenged Kris Statlander for the EVE International Championship at The O2 in London, U.K.

Ospreay, who is the producer and a member of the creative team at Pro Wrestling: EVE, responded to a post from a user who asked AEW fans whether they would be happy to see the former WWE Superstar perform in All Elite Wrestling. The Aerial Assassin responded affirmatively.

As mentioned above, this was Charlie’s first match in over a year. She last competed against Ivy Nile at a WWE Main Event taping last March. Two months later, the former Damage CTRL member was released from the company, following which she decided to take a break from pro wrestling. The Auckland-born wrestler recently said that he would be open to joining TNA or AEW.

Following her return to in-ring competition, Dakota Kai took to X to thank Pro-Wrestling EVE for the opportunity.
