Will Ospreay took time away from AEW after Forbidden Door due to herniated discs in his neck, which needed surgery. In a post on his Instagram, he gave an update on his condition, noting the surgery was successful.
He wrote: “The road will be long, but it’ll be worth it to see you all again. Surgery was a success.”
It is unknown when Ospreay will return, as it depends on the type of surgery he had, among other factors. He was written off television at Forbidden Door, following a Lights Out Steel Cage match, when the Death Riders attacked his neck. He had said on television that he needed the surgery before the match happened. He has noted that he may change his wrestling style when he returns to the ring.
