World Heavyweight Title Match Set For January 5th Episode of WWE Raw

Bron Breakker will get a World Heavyweight Championship match on the January 5th episode of WWE Raw. Paul Heyman announced on Monday’s episode of Raw that Breakker will challenge CM Punk for WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the first Raw of 2026.

Breakker cut a promo during the segment, complaining about how easy it was to pin the World Champion at Survivor Series: WarGames. He called Punk a “soft ass bitch” and said Punk was no different than Seth Rollins. Breakker, of course, was turned on by the Vision back in October, writing Rollins off due to injury.

Breakker said that Punk tried to break his neck at Survivor Series: WarGames on Saturday. He vowed that he was going to ruin Punk’s life and career as a result. He recalled that Punk saw him backstage at WrestleMania 41 and congratulated him before saying, “let’s see if you can cut a promo with the big dogs now.” Breakker said the promo had now been cut and that Punk would be looking up as Breakker was declared new champion.

The January 5th episode of Raw takes place from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and airs on Netflix. No other matches have yet been announced for the show. You can see highlights from the segment below:
