WWE Announces New Worlds Collide Tournament, Talent From 205 Live, NXT and NXT UK To Compete
WWE has announced a new Worlds Collide tournament for Royal Rumble AXXESS in Phoenix, which will feature talent from 205 Live, NXT and NXT UK competing. The winner will get a future championship opportunity on the brand of their choosing. There will be fifteen superstars total, five from each brand, competing over two days. The tournament will be taped for a WWE Network special.
It begins on January 26 with a 15-superstar Battle Royal on January 26 at the 8 AM session of AXXESS. The order of elimination will determine the first-round matches for the tournament, with the winner of the battle royal getting a first-round bye. The tournament continues at the second session (1-5 PM), before it ends on the final AXXESS session from 8 AM to 12 PM. The names include:
From NXT: Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Dominik Dijakovic, Keith Lee and Otis Dozovic
From NXT UK: Mark Andrews, Tyler Bate, Travis Banks, Jordan Devlin and Zack Gibson
From 205 Live: Cedric Alexander, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, TJP and a Superstar to be named.
Royal Rumble Axxess happens at the Phoenix Convention Center and begins on January 25. IT will also include NXT UK tapings on Friday and Sunday, Superstar meet-and-greets, the WWE Superstore, photo opportunities, other live matches and more. You can get tickets here.
