WWE Champions Mobile Game Crosses Over With Cowboy Bebop in New Limited Time Event

It’s the crossover fans never imagined. The WWE mobile game, WWE Champions, is kicking off a crossover with the popular anime series, Cowboy Bebop, with the new limited-time event, Bounty by Moonlight.

Scopely announced the collaboration in an official press release. The event runs through Sunday, October 4, and will feature a full takeover of WWE Champions with Cowboy Bebop’s iconic characters and aesthetic, bringing bounty hunters into the ring who will clash against current and legendary WWE Superstars.

Scopely General Manager of WWE Champions Jerome Collin said on the event, “Bringing larger-than-life icons into the ring is in our DNA, but collaborating with Cowboy Bebop takes that vision to another level.” He continued, “Its timeless style and legendary cast fit seamlessly into our universe for a truly unforgettable crossover.”

The crossover will feature exclusive gear that allows WWE Superstars to turn into members of the Cowboy Bebop cast. Trick Williams will have Spike Spiegel gear, and Sol Ruca can sport some attire inspired by Faye Valentine. Bray Wyatt can also wear attire inspired by Jet Black.

Also, each character will have a special entrance and victory animations to accompany their new looks for the WWE Universe. Additionally, players can use the promo code “COWBOY” to unlock two-time NXT champion Trick Williams as a 5-Star Bronze character.

WWE Champions is available now for iOS and Android. Cowboy Bebop celebrated the 25th anniversary of its American broadcast debut, as the series debuted on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block back in September 2001.
