Marcus Mathers is the latest WWE ID talent to be pulled from an independent show, specifically PRODUCE’s second event. PRODUCE announced on Wednesday that Mathers has been pulled from their July 16th event PRODUCE Volume 2: Taigastyle. Mathers was originally set for a battle royal at the show.

PRODUCE wrote:

“Marcus Mathers will no longer be appearing at PRODUCE: Volume 2.

We wish Marcus the best of luck on his journey to WWE.

A replacement will be named.”

WWE ID previously pulled Aaron Rourke, Veronica Haven, Sloane Jacobs, Anya Rune, and Laynie Luck, and Chazz ‘Starboy’ Hall from shows on June 20th, when they held a WWE EVOLVE taping. The reason for Mathers’ being pulled is not yet clear.

PRODUCE said earlier Wednesday in a post to Twitter:

If you cancel an existing booking with PRODUCE for another independent contractor gig that isn’t a full time contract, all future bookings will be terminated.”

It’s not clear of Mathers was the reason for the statement, or whether it a result of someone else or just a general statement.
