WWE ID Men’s Title Match Set For Next Week’s Wrestling Open RI

A WWE ID Men’s Championship defense is set for next week’s episode of Wrestling Open RI. The promotion announced via Twitter on Tuesday that Cappuccino Jones will defend his championship against Starboy Charlie on next Monday’s show in Cranston, Rhode Island. Should Charlie win, he will both become champion and receive a contract.
The announcement as made reads:
“BREAKING….
WWE ID Men’s Champion Cappuccino Jones has proven to be a fighting champion!
Just signed is @coldbrewjones vs. @starb0ycharlie this Monday at @WrestlingOpenRI in Cranston, RI.
If Starboy Charlie wins, he’ll become champion and earn a WWE ID contract!”
Jones is the inaugural champion and has been the champion for 228 days. He won the title at the GCW ID Showcase on August 1st, 2025, defeating Jack Cartwheel in a tournament final. He has defended the title nine times, most recently defended it against Mike Cunningham at Beyond Ballroom Blitz on February 9th, also in Cranston, Rhode Island.
Monday’s show will stream live on IWTV.
