WWE Inducting More Names into 2016 Hall of Fame?

– It would appear that more names will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. WZ reports that a WWE Hall of Fame T-Shirt on sale in Dallas advertises Lou Thesz, Frank Gotch, Art Thomas, George Hackenschmidt, Mildred Burke and Pat O’Connor as “Legacy Award” honorees.

It isn’t confirmed as to whether these will be considered “inductions,” or whether they will be awards along the lines of the “Warrior Award.” None of the names listed have ever been inducted into the Hall of Fame at this time, so they may be inductees along the lines of how the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has an “early influences” induction that has included the likes of Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, T-Bone Walker, Nat King Cole and Billie Holiday as people who were not part of rock and roll itself, but contributed to influencing the genre before it came about.
