WWE Money in the Bank has distributed 11,406 tickets for Saturday’s event at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The event is reportedly on course to sell out or come close, with the current stage setting accommodating approximately 13,000 to 14,000 fans.
WWE was offering a 30% late-ticket discount, with the get-in ticket listed at $90. Hurricane Isaias is also expected to affect the weather this weekend. However, the storm was forecast to move east of New Orleans, with the worst impact expected near Mobile, Alabama.
The newsletter reported no “danger as far as the show not taking place,” although New Orleans could experience “nasty” weather. The storm is also expected to weaken before Saturday.
The main show begins at 6 PM ET, with pre-show coverage starting at 4 PM ET. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, neither ESPN nor ESPN2 will broadcast matches from the event. The pre-show will also not air on the channels because of college football scheduling.
It was previously indicated that WWE events would feature an hour of matches ” on television to draw the biggest audience” with the idea that the viewers would be moving to ESPN Unlimited. However, that won’t be the case for Money in the Bank. Meltzer noted that with college football season, he “did not expect that they would” air the show.
