WWE NIL Signee AJ Ferrari Injured In Serious Car Accident
AJ Ferrari, an Oklahoma State wrestler signed to WWE’s NIL program, was injured in a serious car accident on Monday night. ESPN reports that Ferrari was driving near Perkins, Oklahoma on Monday night with track star Isai Rodriguez when he tried to pass three vehicles and hit an oncoming vehicle.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Ferrari’s vehicle left the roadway after the accident and overturned several times. The collision cause is listed as “passing in a no-passing zone.” The other driver was not injured and all drivers were said to be wearing their seat belts.
According to the report, OSU football offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn coincidentally happened to be in a car that Ferrari passed and saw the accident. He was able to pull Ferrari to safety after the vehicle caught on fire.
Ferreri was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Oklahoma City, while Rodriguez was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Stillwater. Both were listed in fair condition according to the report, and Ferrari’s father said on Facebook that it appeared his son had no bone breaks, noting, “He has fluid in his lungs that is affecting his oxygen levels and some bad bruising with some internal bleeding, so they are keeping him here.”
Ferrari’s father added, “If you saw the car and AJ, you would know this was a miracle.”
