WWE NXT Viewership Rises to Three-Month High This Week, Finishes No. 1 in the Ratings
– Wrestlenomics has the ratings and viewership numbers for last night’s edition of WWE NXT TV. Last night’s show was the second-to-last edition of NXT on the USA Network before the show’s upcoming move to The CW on October 1.
WWE Superstar CM Punk also made a special appearance on last night’s show, announcing that he will be in charge of NXT’s debut on The CW, which will be held in his hometown of Chicago at the Allstate Arena. Punk revealed that he will serve as the special guest referee for Ethan Page and Trick Williams’ title bout on the upcoming card on October 1.
Numbers were up across the board compared to last week’s show, which ran up against the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. NXT viewership rose to a three-month high, averaging 677,000 viewers. The viewership increased by 8% from last week’s audience of 628,000 viewers. This is the highest average audience for NXT since June 18, which averaged 724,000 viewers.
Ratings were also up in the P18-49 key ratings demo. WWE NXT finished with a 0.21 rating, rising from last week’s 0.19 rating in the same key demo. That’s a 10-week high rating for NXT, since the July 9 episode, which drew a 0.24 rating in the key demo.
Wrestlenomics also reports that NXT finished at No. 1 in the key demo ratings for cable original programming on Tuesday. The show finished ahead of FOX News broadcasts and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta on MTV in the rankings.
