WWE and The CW Network officially announced today that all WWE NXT premium live events (PLEs) will now air exclusively on The CW moving forward. The landmark move will now begin with this year’s Great American Bash later this summer.

Starting with GAB, The CW will air 20 NXT PLEs in their entirety live on both coasts “over the next several years,” including Stand and Deliver, Deadline, and Vengeance Day. This will now make The CW the exclusive broadcast home for all NXT programming, including NXT’s weekly two-hour show on Tuesday nights. WWE will also continue producing all of the PLEs.

Speaking on the announcement, CW Network President Brad Schwartz commented, “WWE NXT has energized our Tuesday nights by consistently delivering a loyal and passionate fanbase to The CW every week.” He added, “Adding WWE NXT Premium Live Events to our schedule is a natural fit, providing one broadcast destination for audiences to watch all their favorite Superstars, storylines, and championship matches.”

WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, NXT Executive Producer, and Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels also commented, “The CW has played an integral role in raising the profile of our up-and-coming Superstars, and we are excited to bring NXT Premium Live Events to broadcast television for the first time ever.”

WWE NXT PLEs Move To The CW Network Later This Summer

The CW and WWE started a five-year partnership in October 2024 for NXT, bringing the show to traditional broadcast television for the first time in the show’s history. The CW airs 52 live weekly events for NXT throughout the season every Tuesday night from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm ET.

Triple H launched the NXT brand in 2012, showcasing the brightest up-and-coming stars in sports entertainment. Multiple stars who have headlined WrestleMania got their WWE starts in NXT, including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch. NXT is currently led by Michaels.
