WWE Announces Rhea Ripley Is Dealing With Injury On WWE Smackdown

Rhea Ripley is currently sidelined with a knee injury, as announced on Friday night’s episode of WWE Smackdown. Announcers Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore revealed on tonight’s episode that Ripley is currently with a knee injury.
It was noted that Ripley suffered the injury at WWE Clash in Italy, where she faced Jade Cargill to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. There is no word as of yet on when Ripley made return to the ring; Barrett and Tessitore noted that they would have more after WWE finds out how she is responding to treatment.
Specific details on the nature of the knee injury are not yet known. Ripley worked a couple of live events on the WWE European tour. She has been WWE Women’s Champion for 55 days, having won it from Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42.
