Shane Strickland and Ilja Dragunov Reportedly Signing With WWE Soon, Dragunov Likely to Become a Top Star for NXT UK

– The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc.com) reports that two potential indie talents could soon be joining WWE in Ilja Dragunov and Shane Strickland. First up is independent Russian talent Ilja Dragunov potentially being on his way to WWE. Dragunov recently took part in the WWE tryouts in Germany and was said to have been one of the top talents there, if not the absolute best. Additionally, he attended another tryout camp in the UK.

It’s rumored that Dragunov will sign with and join the NXT UK brand and become one of the brand’s top stars, similar to WALTER, Pete Dunne, and Moustache Mountain. He would also become a regular on NXT shows in the United States from time to time.

Another indie talent who is expected to sign with WWE and join NXT is Shane Strickland. As previously reported, Strickland (aka Killshot) recently confirmed this week that he is now a free agent.
