Last Friday’s WWE Smackdown Viewership Drops Against College Football, Rating Also Down

Programming Insider reports that last Friday’s episode of WWE Smackdown was down in viewership and ratings as it went up against a huge college football game. The show brought in 1.341 million viewers on the USA Network, down from 1.578 million the week before.
In the key 18-49 demographic, Smackdown had an 0.40, also down from the 0.46 it had the week before.
Even with the drops, however, Smackdown was still the #1 show on cable for the night and in its timeslot. The football game between Georgia and Georgia Tech, which aired on ABC, had 8.4 million viewers and an 1.87 rating. Elsewhere, Nebraska vs. Iowa on NBC had 3.6 million viewers and an 0.73 rating.
