Marc Trestman Announced As Head Coach of XFL’s Tampa Bay Team

ESPN reports that Marc Trestman (best known for his stint as the Chicago Bears head coach for two seasons in 2013 and 2014, amassing a 13-19 record) has been announced as the head coach and general manager of the XFL’s Tampa Bay team. He joins Bob Stoops (Dallas), Jim Zorn (Seattle) and Pep Hamilton (Washington, D.C.) as announced XFL head coaches.
Trestman was in the CFL as the head coach of the Toronto Argonauts last year but ended up getting fired after the team finished 4-14. He did lead the team to the Grey Cup title in his first season.
Trestman has worked as an offensive coordinator in the NFL for several teams including the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and Baltimore Ravens.
