Yota Tsuji doesn’t know where his match at MLW Saturday Night SuperFight will be on the card, but says he didn’t ask to main event it. As noted, the IWGP Heavyweight Champion is set to face Trevor Lee at this coming weekend’s PPV on VEEPS. He recently spoke with Fightful’s In the Weeds via a translator and was asked if he will be main eventing the show.

“So I guess you guys are referring to the fact that I mentioned about the main event,” Tsuji said. “I think just because to put the IWGP Heavyweight title on the show, wanted to- our IWGP belt championship as treated us as respectfully as other promotions. So I don’t personally have the request to my match to be like a main event or otherwise I want less than that. I’m not like in that kind of attitude, but you know, like for this MLW show, which is their biggest show on pay-per-view of the year.”

He continued, “So I am really grateful to be part of that, and I really would like to be thankful to be involved in. But if and only if MLW is willing to treat me in such a respectful manner, I would gladly accept to be involved in the main event, but I don’t personally make requests and I have not so far, I have not been told what match order it is going to be, but regardless, I’m happy to be involved in the show.”

The show is MLW’s return to PPV and takes place at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois.
