Yuto-Ice and Aaron Wolf Qualify for NJPW G1 Climax 36 Tournament.

Wrestlers Yuto-Ice and Aaron Wolf became the first play-in winners for the G1 Climax 36 tournament after scoring wins in their respective bouts at today’s NJPW Road to G1 Climax event in Tokyo, Japan. Yuto-ice defeated Taichi, and Wolf scored a submission win over YOSHI-HASHI in singles bouts.
Wolf now advances to the B-Block, and Yuto-Ice gained a remaining slot in the A-Block. The NJPW G1 Climax 36 kicks off on July 11 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Here are the updated block listings:

The final two entrants in the tournament will be determined by matchups up on the upcoming Road to the G1 Climax show on July 6. OSKAR faces off against Yujiro Takahashi. Meanwhile, El Phantasmo faces Ryohei Oiwa. The winners of those respective bouts will advance to the final play-in-winner slots.
The NJPW G1 Climax 36 tournament runs from July 11 through August 16. The winner will receive a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Title, currently held by Yota Tsuji, or Tsuji will receive bragging rights with a victory.
