Triple H Calls Out Batista, Will Confront Him on Next Week’s Raw
– Following Batista’s attack on Ric Flair last week, he and Triple H will come face to face on next week’s episode of Raw. WWE announced the segment after Triple H came to the ring and cut a promo on Batista, excoriating the former Evolution member for assaulting Flair.
You can see the video below, in which Triple H cut a worked shoot, referring to Flair by his real name, Richard Fliehr. He mentioned mentioned being there for Flair’s weddings (some of them) and for of Flair’s darkest moments, including the loss of his son Reid and his illness last year. He then discussed Batista’s attack, saying, “You wanted my attention. And we all know why. It’s no secret, you’ve cried about it online for the last two years. We all know why. And when I got injured in November, I guess you thought that went away but this time, for the first time in your life when you didn’t get what you want you couldn’t quit…you couldn’t do what you’ve always done when you were here, when they didn’t give you the reaction that you wanted…you quit.”
He went on to say that he didn’t get what he wanted, so he attacked Flair, “a seventy year-old man who’s lucky to be alive.” He called out Batista’s “Bad Guy 101” tactics of not showing up and trashing the host cities for Raw, and said he didn’t care about any of that. He’ll show up wherever Batista is and be there every Monday waiting. He said this isn’t about characters, and is about the man behind the Game.
