Interim ROH Women’s TV Champion To Be Crowned At Supercard of Honor Due to Red Velvet Injury

Red Velvet is out of action and an interim ROH Women’s TV Champion will be crowned at Supercard of Honor. Tony Khan revealed on the Tuesday’s media call promoting Supercard of Honor that Velvet, the current Women’s TV Champion, is out of action and that an interim champion will be determined at Friday’s event.

“With the injury to Red Velvet, it’s something that I think she’s going to be able to work through,” Khan said (per Fightful). “But she’s not going to be able to defend, due to injury, the women’s TV championship at Supercard of Honor. I will address that situation with an interim TV title. Because Red Velvet will not be able to compete, I will be having an ROH Women’s TV Title Interim Champion crowned at Supercard of Honor.”

Khan added, “That situation caused some delays in getting the Pure Title tournament started because, frankly, it’s a lot of the same people fighting for the interim TV champion position, who would also be in line for the Pure tournament. I think Red Velvet will be back in a matter of weeks, maybe a few months, tops.”

Details on how the interim champion will be determined were not provided on the call. Velvet has been ROH Women’s TV Champion since July 26th, 2024 when she defeated the inaugural champion Billie Starkz at that year’s Death Before Dishonor.

ROH Supercard of Honor takes place on Friday and airs on HonorClub.
