WWE Reportedly Tried To Get Stranger Things Cast At Raw

WWE reportedly tried to get cast members from Stranger Things to make an appearance at his week’s WWE Raw, according to a new report. Monday night’s show was the one-year anniversary of Raw’s debut on Netflix and featured a stacked card along with a Stranger Things crossover theme. The Netflix uberhit had branding all over the show, including segment title cards that mirrored the episode title cards for the series.
The one thing that was missing was the traditional appearance by cast members from the show. Fightful Select reports that there were efforts to get cast members from the series to attend Raw, but it obviously didn’t end up happening.
The report also made the obvious note that Adam Pearce’s Chris Jericho reference promoting Raw was not a Stranger Things reference. One outlet suggested this was the case, trying to argue that the “wall” between the Upside Down and the Material Plane was what Pearce was actually talking about when he asked who would “break the walls down” as a “smartly-placed” reference to the show. Not so much.
