Dexter Lumis had a feud with The Miz upon his 2022 return to WWE, and he recently spoke about how much he enjoyed it. Lumis feuded with Miz upon his return to the company in late 2022, “fake stalking” Miz and then ultimately earning his way back onto the roster with a win over the A-Lister.

Lumis, now working as Samuel Shaw, looked back on the storyline and his work with Miz during his appearance on Insight With Chris Van Vliet. He had great things to say about Miz and recalled how they had a memorable run of house show matches. You can see highlights below:

On the Feud With Miz:

“Well, I think you and I were talking a little bit privately about how I just feel like my whole career I was kind of like hopeful that I’d work with the absolute best. I had feelings of like, wow, if I could work with John Cena, if I could work with Drew McIntyre, if I could work with Seth Rollins, if I could work with Brock Lesnar. I thought these were things that were possible. Obviously, those things didn’t happen, but I got to work with a Miz, and that son of a bitch has worked with everybody, and he is so good. I think people are realizing now, just how good he is and has always been.”

On His House Show Work With Miz:

“I wish people could see some of the house shows that we’ve done because me and Miz had a series of house show runs where Abyss would come to us and be like, ‘Hey brother, you know that match before didn’t go long enough. Can you guys like go extra? Can you go an extra 10 minutes?’ Miz just looked at me like, ‘Oh yeah, we can do that.’ We had some 30-minute, 40-minute matches, and I just go out there and listen to him, and everything he called for me made me look good, and got crowd reactions, and I learned so much from him on just how to carry yourself out there.”
