Combate Global has turned down a proposal for settlement discussions in their lawsuit with Alberto El Patron. As you may recall, Patron filed a lawsuit back in October alleging that Combate Global, LLC breached the contract between them, claiming that they owe him $250,000 for his fight with Tito Ortiz. He also claimed that they are still controlling his social media accounts even though he no longer works for them.

According to PWInsider, the two sides in the lawsuit were referred by a magistrate judge to a settlement discussion but Combate turned the offer down. The MMA organization said that they have nothing to offer Patron and want to defend themselves in court.

As noted, Combate filed a motion to dismiss on January 4th arguing that Patron failed to state a cause upon which relief can be granted and can’t prove he has proper standing because they’ve paid him in full. They filed several exhibits showing that their deal was terminated in July of 2017 and not extended the way Patron claims it was. That includes a Termination agreement signed by Patron.

Patron has until February 4th to respond to the motion to dismiss.
