MMAjunkie recently spoke to UFC bantamweight fighter Marlon Moraes ahead of his main event bout with Raphael Assuncao. The fight is set to headline UFC on ESPN+ 2 later this Saturday in Fortaleza, Brazil. Below are some highlights.

Moraes on not being worried about the title situation right now: “I’m not worried about that right now. I’m worried about my fight. I’m there. If I have to keep fighting, I’ll keep fighting. I know I’m good. I know I can beat a lot of guys, and (we’ll) see what happens.”

Marlon Moraes on learning from his first fight with Raphael Assuncao: “I think I’m better now. I learned a lot. Raphael is a good fighter, he’s beat a lot of guys and has a good record in the UFC. I’m a good fight as well and on Saturday night I know I’m going to be the best fighter out there.”

Marlon Moraes on what it took to get to this fight: “We always ask the UFC for the fight that’s going to put me at the top to fight for the belt. I asked for (Dominick) Cruz, I didn’t have him, then Raphael was a rematch that was very interesting for me. I think it was a good fight to have. He’s on a streak, I’m on a streak, so let’s go Saturday night to see who is going to be next for the title.”
