Michelle Waterson Hoping to Fight Later This Fall

MMAjunkie recently spoke to UFC fighter Michelle Waterson in Las Vegas during last week’s International Fight Week. The “Karate Hottie” indicated when she might return to the Octagon.

Waterson stated, “We are wanting to get a fight maybe September, October time frame. We don’t have anything scheduled yet.” Regarding who she would like to face, she stated, “I would love to fight Karolina [Kowalkiewicz] or Carla Esparza. Those two are the ones I have my eyes on the at the moment.”

However, Kowalkiewicz is currently said to be in talks to face Jessica Andrade at UFC 228 in September. She then responded, “I guess (Kowalkiewicz) is out of the question. (Esparza) is (a good fight).”

Waterson last fought inside the Octagon at UFC on FOX 29, beating Cortney Casey by split decision. Her current UFC record stands at 3-2.
