Patrick Cummins Out Of UFC 217 Due To Staph Infection

In a post on Instagram, Patrick Cummins revealed that he is no longer a part of UFC 217 due to a “mutant staph infection.” Cummins was set to fight light heavyweight Corey Anderson at the event. He wrote:

The event happens on November 4 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It airs on PPV after preliminary fights on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. Cummins vs. Anderson was set for the preliminary card. UFC has yet to confirm Cummins’ status. Here’s the current card:
