MMA Junkie reports that a UFC middleweight title fight has been added to UFC 234, with champion Robert Whittaker defending against Kelvin Gastelum. The event happens on February 10 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. With the time change, the PPV airs on February 9 in North America. Both men were opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 28, which is airing Wednesdays on FS1.

UFC President Dana White spoke with News.com.au that he will meet with Israel Adesanya about being a backup opponent for the fight. He added: “If these two guys fight, it’s something I would really look at doing in a stadium here.“
