Rogerio Nogueira vs. Sam Alvey Set for Fight Night in Sao Paulo

Antonio “Minotouro” Rogerio Nogueira (22-8) returns to the Octagon on September 22nd in a fight against Sam Alvey (33-10, 1 no-contest). The Fight Night event will be held at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, MMA Fighting confirmed following a report by Combate.

Ths marks Nogueira’s first fight since November 2016, when he fought and lost in a third-round TKO to Ryan Bader. “Big Nog” was previously scheduled to fight Jared Cannonier last December, but after failing an out-of-competition drug test was dropped from the card.

Nogueira was given a reduced suspension from the United States Anti-Doping Agency after an investigation into two Brazilian pharmacies verified they were selling contaminated supplements that led to failed drug tests.
