Ronda Rousey Breaks Post-UFC 207 Silence on Instagram

Ronda Rousey has made her first public comments, outside of a brief statement, since her loss at UFC 207. Rousey took to Instagram to post an inspirational quote from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, as you can see below:

The exact meaning of the post is of unknown, as she posted it without any further context. Many have questioned whether Rousey will fight again or go full-time into acting after the loss, which saw Amanda Nunes knock her out in forty-eight seconds, and this post doesn’t add any clarity to her next step.

However, one person believes she knows what it means. Cris “Cyborg” Justino, who has been Rousey’s rival for years despite them never being able to agree on a fight, posted a comment on the Instagram post in which she seems to think Rousey is announcing her retirement from the sport. The comment reads, “I was sad to see the loss of the sports star, but you have so much ahead of you and blessed with the financial security to pursue all your passions. You opened the door for more promotion and grew into a sport icon. Enjoy the next chapter of life and know you’ve got amazing opportunities to continue changing the world. #rowdyrevolution”
