Tony Ferguson Makes Championship Weight This Week
UFC 249 is not taking place as it was originally scheduled this weekend. However, that didn’t keep lightweight contender Tony Ferguson from making this week. Yesterday, Ferguson shared a video clip on his Instagram account showing him still coming in on weight at 155 pounds. You can view that clip below.

According to UFC President Dana White, the current plan is to hold the postponed UFC 249 on May 9. If it stays together, Ferguson will likely face Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title.
Ferguson was originally scheduled to face lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 249 before the recent shutdowns caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
