August 7, 2017 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

As previously reported, “Smilin'” Sam Alvey called out former UFC champion Vitor Belfort after his win over former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans at UFC Fight Night 114 last Saturday. Vitor Belfort has now responded to Alvey’s challenge on Instagram.

Belfort suggested that the fight happen in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also tagged the UFC and asked them to just send him the bout agreement. You can read Belfort’s response below.

“@smilensam let’s fight in Vegas. You are gonna make history: You Will be the 1st man to get knockdown with a smile on the face 😂 @ufc Just send me the bout agreement // @smilensam vamos lutar em Vegas. Você vai fazer história: Você será o 1o homem a ser nocauteado com um sorriso no rosto 😂 @ufc pode mandar o contrato #mma #teambelfort #belfortteam #ufc.”

Vitor Belfort last fought at UFC 212 last June, beating Nate Marquardt by unanimous decision. Before the fight, it seemed that would be Belfort’s final MMA fight. However, it seemed shortly before and after the match, Belfort had changed his mind about retirement and will continue fighting for a while longer.
